It’s important to test your automation before going live.
To do this, follow the two steps below.
Simulate the event
For an abandoned cart automation, for example, you need to simulate an abandoned cart on your site.
This way, the information will be sent back to Klaviyo.
Preview the event
All the information from your simulation and your profile should appear here.
Don’t worry if your phone number doesn’t show up right away! Communication between Shopify and Klaviyo can take some time (up to 15 minutes).
Once Klaviyo has registered your profile (after the first test, for example), the number will display immediately.

Don’t worry if your name doesn’t appear!
It’s possible that the variable “First name (Shopify)” doesn’t exist, because the name is stored in Klaviyo rather than Shopify.
